1. The service

Chessora lets you play chess against an AI opponent ("Chessora AI") at three difficulty levels, track your results, and optionally purchase a Premium subscription for unlimited daily games. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You can play as a guest without an account, subject to the same daily game limit as a Free account. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under it. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

3. Free tier and Premium

Free accounts and guests get 2 completed games per day. Premium removes that limit. Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription; pricing for each is shown on the Pricing page. Payments are processed by Paddle as our merchant of record; their terms apply to the transaction itself. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Refunds

Requests made within 14 days of purchase get a full refund where legally required (duplicate charges, billing errors, or before you've meaningfully used Premium) or a 50% refund for standard change-of-mind requests. To request one, email hello.chessora@gmail.com with your account details and transaction ID. Requests made after 14 days are handled at our discretion. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.

The Chessora name, logo, and site design are owned by us. The moves and outcome of games you play belong to the game of chess itself and aren't owned by anyone — but the record of your games on our Service is provided for your own use, and you shouldn't scrape or republish other users' game data in bulk.

6. Termination

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable use section above.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chessora and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Chessora after a change means you accept the updated terms.
